1. OVERVIEW OF DATA PROCESSING AND YOUR RIGHTS

This document explains what data we collect from you and how we process it. It describes who we are, what data we handle, for what purposes we process it, and what rights you have in this regard.

2. EXPLANATIONS REGARDING DATA PROCESSING

2.1 Provision of the website

For the purpose of delivering the website, our systems process data transmitted by your browser by default for the duration of your visit.

2.1.1 Purpose of processing, data:

We process data to provide and deliver this website. This data is automatically transmitted by your browser and specifically includes: the URL accessed (website or elements contained therein, such as images), your browser’s user agent string (this is set in your browser and typically contains information about the type of web browser, often its version, and the operating system used), your IP address, the previous page (if applicable), and the time of access.

2.1.2 Provision required or necessary:

The data is transmitted automatically by your browser; you may restrict certain aspects if necessary. You are not legally or contractually obligated to provide the data. However, accessing the site is not possible without transmitting the data.

2.1.3 Legal basis and legitimate interest:

The processing is carried out in our interest of maintaining a professional public presence via our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

2.1.4 Recipients:

We use a service provider (processor) acting in accordance with our specifications for technical implementation (see the Hosting section).
The data is not disclosed to third parties.

2.1.5 Transfer to third countries:

No data is transferred to third countries.

2.1.6 Storage period:

For this purpose, the data is used solely to deliver the website and is not stored further; however, data-minimal logging (logging, see following section) takes place on the server for other purposes.

2.2 Data Logged When Accessing the Site

For the purposes of security, reliability, and optimization of the website (as described in more detail below), we store the non-personally identifiable data automatically transmitted by your browser for one month.

2.2.1 Purpose of Processing, Data:

Every time a webpage is accessed, the web server automatically saves a so-called server log file. This includes the data automatically transmitted by your browser (as described in Section 2.1). Furthermore, the hostname associated with the IP address is typically determined, which usually consists of an identifier associated with the IP address and the domain name of your Internet service provider; this is also stored in anonymized form (e.g., the domain name of the Internet service provider).
The IP address is stored in an anonymized form. A personal reference can no longer be established.

The data is transmitted automatically by your browser; you may restrict certain aspects if necessary. You are under no legal or contractual obligation to provide the data. However, accessing the site is not possible without the transmission of this data.

2.2.3 Legal basis and legitimate interest:

Processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in the reliable provision of a website, the security of our systems, and a focus on customer interests.

2.2.4 Recipients:

We use a service provider (processor) acting in accordance with our specifications for technical implementation (see the Hosting section).
The data is not disclosed to third parties.

2.2.5 Transfer to third countries:

No data is transferred to third countries.

2.2.6 Retention period:

The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. For data used solely to provide the website, this is generally the case once the respective session has ended.
All access data suitable for identification is deleted no later than seven days after the end of your visit to the site.

2.3. Contact via Form

If you contact us via the contact form, we process the data provided to respond to your inquiry, store it for as long as necessary for traceability, and, where applicable, to comply with legal retention obligations.

2.3.1 Purpose of processing:

If you contact us via the contact form, the data you enter will be stored for the purpose of individual communication with you.

2.3.2 Data and Necessity of Providing It:

We can only process your inquiry if you at least describe your request and provide your contact information (valid email address); the email address is used to assign the inquiry and subsequently respond to it. Providing additional data is optional.
You are under no legal or contractual obligation to provide this data.

2.3.3 Legal basis:

The processing of the data entered in the contact form is based on a legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

By providing the contact form, we aim to make it easy for you to contact us. The information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for any follow-up questions.

If you contact us to request a quote, the data entered into the contact form will be processed for the purpose of taking pre-contractual measures or in the context of contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Where applicable, we are legally obligated to retain the data and store it for this purpose (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR, in particular in conjunction with § 147 AO and § 257 in conjunction with § 238 HGB).

2.3.4 Recipients:

We use a service provider (processor) acting in accordance with our specifications for technical implementation (see the “Hosting” section).
The data is not disclosed to third parties.

2.3.5 Transfer to third countries:

No data is transferred to third countries.

2.3.6 Retention period:

The data you send to us via contact requests will remain with us until you request its deletion or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g., after your request has been processed).

To the extent that we are legally obligated to retain data, we will retain the data for the duration prescribed by law, or longer if necessary.

2.4 Hosting

We have engaged an external service provider to host and deliver our website. This service provider is based in Germany and also operates its servers in Germany. The hosting provider acts on our behalf and in accordance with our instructions (it is a data processor).

We have entered into a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) for the use of the aforementioned service. This is a contract required by data protection law that ensures the provider processes the personal data of our website visitors only in accordance with our instructions and in compliance with the GDPR.

3. COOKIES AND WEB ANALYTICS

We only use one technically necessary cookie for language selection. We do not use Google Analytics or similar tracking and web analytics tools.

4. STATUS AND CHANGES TO THE PRIVACY POLICY

We will update this Privacy Policy as we deem necessary. This may be necessary, for example, due to changes in data processing or legal requirements, such as when we introduce new services.
